Nestled within the Central Ridge Reserve Forest is Bhuli Bhatiyari ka Mahal, a hidden gem of the Karol Bagh area. Dating back to. the 14th century, the place was built by Firoz Shah Tughlaq as a royal hunting lodge.
There are many theories behind its title; one of them suggesting it to have been derived from the name of the monument's female caretaker, 'Bu-Ali Bhatti'. As per another theory, the place took its name after the Sufi saint 'Bu Ali Bakhtiyar', who stayed at that place. Mainly featuring remnants of the once hunting lodge, what remains at the site today is a rubble masonry gate, a doorway with corbelled arches and a huge rectangular courtyard. Known by few, the place is mostly frequented by photography lovers and those interested in its title as one of the most haunted places in Delhi
