Attractions: Sangeet Natak Akademi, the brainchild of Dr. Rajendra Prasad - the first President of India, was inaugurated in January 1953. The first National Academy for music, dance and drama in India, it has since been working towards the promotion of its rich cultural heritage, through propagation of dances, songs and plays. The Akademi works in coordination with the art institutions, art academies and cultural institutions of other states. Cultural activities organized by the academy include National and Regional Festivals, Yuva Utsav and regular seminars and workshops.
